A small photo journey along the quieter northern coast of Austvågøy. Not a sightseeing loop and not a camera course — a day built around time to stop, look and photograph, wherever the light decides to be good.
Most of Lofoten is seen from the same handful of viewpoints. Lofoten in Focus turns away from them and follows the northern coastline instead: open sea on one side, mountains on the other, and long stretches where nothing at all is arranged for visitors.
The guiding principle is simple. Follow the light. In the Arctic, light rewrites the landscape hour by hour, so we travel with a direction rather than a timetable. We stop when the place and the moment deserve it — not because a schedule says so.
You do not need professional equipment. Some guests arrive with camera bodies and lenses, others with a phone in their pocket. Both are equally welcome. What we provide is time, access and situations — the rest is your eye.
The landscape carries the stories of the people who have lived in it. Between stops there are short accounts of fishing and farming, of coastal communities, of life between mountain and sea, and of ordinary Lofoten life today. Never a history lecture — just enough for the view to mean more.
The journey ends at Livland. After a day of looking at the landscape, we sit down inside it: local food, the family table, and the quiet closing of a day spent seeing. From the landscape to the table. From what we have seen to what we taste.

No. A smartphone is entirely enough. Guests with camera bodies and lenses are equally welcome — the day is about seeing, not equipment.
